Broncos Win Game Two of the Series in Walk Off Fashion

RHP Santo Hernandez made the start for the Broncos against LHP Aaron Cunningham of the Colts. The Broncos are 0-4 against left handed starting pitchers in 2010 and looked to pick up their first win against a lefty and their first win of the series against the Colts.

In the top of the second inning the Colts jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Adam Hale walked, stole second and came home on the Tyler Goodro RBI single.

The Broncos jumped ahead in the bottom of the second when Ryan Flynn hit an RBI triple to tie the game at 1-1. David Fowler, the next batter, knocked in Flynn to give the Broncos the 2-1 lead with an RBI single.

The Broncos added to their lead in the bottom of the third. Ben Wolgamot reached on an error, and after a SAC bunt by Carlos Arroyo Nick Mahin picked up his 18 RBI of the season with a single and the Broncos led 3-1.

In the top of the sixth Landon Camp tied the game with his second two run homer in as many days against Broncos pitching, and the score was knotted up 3-3.

Originally scheduled for seven innings this game was headed for extra innings. The Colts did not score in the top of the eighth.

In the bottom of the eighth against RHP Maximinio De La Cruz the Colts took a 4-3 lead over the Broncos on the RBI fielder's choice off the bat of Jason Crosland.

The Broncos, in the bottom of the ninth against the Colts closer Michael Hacker walked it off. Flynn walked to start the inning. David Fowler then walked to put runners on first and second. Jason Diaz dropped a SAC bunt down, followed by the SAC fly by Jonathan Cisneros to tie the game. Carlos Arroyo then hit an infield single that scored Fowler from third and the Broncos were in the win column.
