July 26, 2010 - United League Baseball (ULB)
Laredo Broncos News Release
The Laredo Broncos have announced they have postponed game one of their four game series with the Rio Grande Valley White Wings until tomorrow, Tuesday July 27th, where the two teams will now play a double header.
Veterans Field took rain off and on all through out the day, and even though the ground crew worked tirelessly for over six hours on the field surface, it was determined unplayable at 9:02 PM central time, after an hour and twenty seven minute delay.
The gates will open at 5:05 PM with first pitch in game one of the double header set for 6:05 PM at Veterans Field. The second game will start 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
This is an important series for both the Broncos and White Wings as Rio Grande only trails Laredo by a game and a half for fourth place in the United League.
