Broncos Take Series Against Coastal Bend

An RBI single by D.J Dixon gave the Broncos the lead late against the Thunder allowing the Broncos to pick up their third win in a row.
The Broncos looked to continue their winning ways with RHP Juan Peralta (6-2) on the mound. The Coastal Bend Thunder sent RHP Toro Trevino (3-6) to the mound in game three of the series.
The Broncos took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first on the sacrifice fly by Jolen Pacheco. Pacheco picked up his second RBI in as many games since joining the Broncos.
Coastal Bend tied the game in the top of the second when Salvador Paniagua was charged with a passed ball that allowed Lamar Guy to score the tying run.
The score remained 1-1 until the bottom of the seventh after a Jolen Pacheco lead off double, D.J Dixon brought him home with an RBI single to give the Broncos the 2-1 lead.
In the bottom of the seventh Doug Thennis hit a solo home run, his sixth of the year to give the Broncos the 3-1 lead.
RHP Juan Peralta picked up his sixth win of the season, pitching seven innings, allowing eight hits, one run, he walked four and struck out eight in the victory.
The Broncos have now won three in a row and will look for a series sweep tomorrow night at Veterans Field against the Coastal Bend Thunder; first pitch at 7:35 PM.
