
Broncos Roster Continues To Evolve

The Broncos roster, under the guidance of manager Dan Firova continues to evolve just 18 games into the 2010 season. On Monday, June 14th, a day after arriving home from an eight game road trip in which the Broncos went 3-5, the Broncos cut ties with CL Jonathan Miller, and CF Bradley Goldsmith.
Miller, through 18 games had struggled, he had a record of 0-1, and a 13.50 ERA in nine appearances, Miller had allowed 21 hits, 13 runs, 10 earned runs, six walks, and had just four strikeouts in 6.2 IP. Opposing hitters were batting .568 against him.
Goldsmith, who recently was hit on the hand by a pitch, had lost his center fielder job to David Fowler and was hitting just .279. He was 12 for 43 and had only four extra base hits and four RBI to nine strikeouts.
Also RHP Christian Staehely was traded to the El Paso Diablos of the American Association for a player to be named. Signed later on Monday were LHP Franklyn Gracesqui. Gracesqui split time in 2009 with Southern Maryland (Atlantic League) and Laredo. Overall, he pitched 19.0 innings, and allowed just seven earned runs in 20 appearances. He picked up nine saves and 27 strikeouts.
Also added to the active roster were RHP Maximinio De La Cruz and 1B/OF Steve Bralver.. De La Cruz pitched in just two games in 2009 with Alexandria (Continental League). He threw 2.1 innings and had an ERA of 7.12, allowing 5 runs, 2 earned. he walked two and struckout four. Bralver played at University of Hawai at the NCAA level.
Also signed and put on the Inactive list was RHP Enmanuel Ulloa. Ulloa played for Long Island (Atlantic League) in 2008. He went 5-6 with a 5.94 ERA in 30 games; he made 21 starts.
