The Broncos would get on the scoreboard first in the 1st inning. Sean Gamble led off with a triple. Then with 1 out, Dwayne White and Edgard Clemente walked to load the bases. Matt Imwalle came through for the Broncos as he hit a 2 run single, scoring both Gamble and White. That made the score 2-0.
The Dillas would score in the 2nd inning. Stephen Douglas led off with a single and went to 2nd on a single by Justin Wenger. Then a passed ball moved them up a base, and Josh Ashton followed with a walk to load the bases. Jonathan Reynoso then hit a sacrifice fly scoring Douglas. Keith Brachold then hit a ground ball that got by 1st baseman Matt Imwalle for an error allowing Wenger to score. Ashton would go to 3rd and Brachold ended up at 2nd. Gary Schneidmiller then flew out to Edgard Clemente in center field. Ashton tagged up and tried to score, but Clemente threw a strike to the plate to get Ashton out. The score was now tied at 2.
Amarillo would take the lead in the 4th inning. Justin Wenger was hit by a pitch and then went to 2nd on a walk to Josh Ashton. A passed ball would move the runners to 2nd and 3rd. With 1 out Keith Brachold singled in Wenger with Ashton going to 3rd. Gary Schneidmiller then walked to load the bases. A wild pitch was then thrown by Broncos starter Richard Bartlett allowing Ashton to score Brachold to move to 3rd and Schneidmiller to move to 3rd. Danny Bravo would single in Brachold. AJ Johnson then reached on a fielder's choice with Schneidmiller scoring. That would make the score 6-2.

The Dillas would add on a run in the 8th. With 1 out Keith Brachold walked and then stole 2nd base. Then with 2 outs, Andrew Wong drew a walk. Both runners would then steal 2nd and 3rd. AJ Johnson then drove in a run with a single, making the score 7-2.
Rusty Jones would come out for the 9th inning for the Broncos and pitch a scoreless. The Broncos trailed by 5 heading into the bottom of the 9th. Laredo would go 1-2-3 in their half of the 9th as they fell by a score of 7-2.
