Broncos and San Angelo Colts to Play Doubleheader Tomorrow

July 21, 2008-Laredo, TX- The Laredo Broncos of the United League announce that Wednesday nights scheduled game against the San Angelo Colts has been cancelled due to Hurricane Dolly. There is a 100% chance of rain on Wednesday, so the teams will play a doubleheader starting at 6 pm on Tuesday July 22nd.

In one of the games, the Broncos have announced that pitcher Mickey Callaway will make his first start of the season. Callaway a former Major Leaguer, was the head coach at TAMIU this past season. He has made 1 appearance for the Broncos this season so far and pitched a scoreless inning.

Tuesday's game will also be a Tecate 2 for Tuesday. All seats at Veterans Field will be $2 for the doubleheader. Also 12oz. Tecate and Tecate Light cans will be $2.

The Laredo Broncos finished there second season in 2007. The Broncos will play a 90 game season from May to September with 46 home games at Veterans Field.
