Bristol White Sox News Release
Joining a growing trend among Major League and Minor League teams, Bristol Baseball, Inc. (BBI) and the Bristol Sox will have a special bobblehead night this week.
On July 17, the first 250 fans attending that evening's game between the Sox and the Elizabethton Twins will receive a limited edition bobblehead depicting all players elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame by the Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA) in 2013.
"The BBWAA has been authorized by the Hall of Fame to elect former players to the Hall," announced Sox General Manager Mahlon Luttrell, who also serves as BBI's President. "Its actions, both this year and in the past, have been controversial. We take no position on the matter, but recognize the debate as one of great significance to the grand game of baseball, and look forward to encouraging a spirited and respectful debate with this promotion."
