Bristol Blues Need Extra Frames to Finish Pittsfield, 5-3

The game between the Bristol Blues (2-0) and the Bristol Blues went into extra innings, but when the last out was recorded the Bristol Blues emerged with a 5-3 victory.

With the score tied at two, Chris Morris came to the plate and singled, scoring Brandon Grover and Hunter Southerland.

Artavious Marsh brought the heat against the Pittsfield Suns (1-1) during his outing. The Pittsfield Suns managed just two hits off of the the Bristol Blues' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Matt Cuneo brought the heat against the Bristol Blues during his outing. Cuneo gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Mike Kreiger improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bristol Blues. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered no hits.

Reid Connolly couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Pittsfield Suns, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
