
Brett Manney Back for the Black Wolves

UNCASVILLE, CT. - The New England Black Wolves announced today that captain Brett Manney has been re-signed to a one-year contract.
Per team policy, no details were released.
"Brett is an exceptional leader and an important conduit between players and coaches," general manager and head coach Glenn Clark said. "Having Brett back as our captain is very important for the climate of our team. He is a true professional and a great example for our young players."
In a season cut short due to COVID-19, the NLL veteran helped lead the Pack to an 8-3 overall record and finished with the top spot in the league. Over 11 contests, Manney tallied 33 loose balls, caused seven turnovers and dished out four assists.
A well-established defender in the league, Manney also holds the top spot for caused turnovers and sits in second for games played in the Black Wolves regular season career records. He has caused 114 turnovers and has seen action in 159 games; 96 with New England and 63 with Philadelphia before the team's relocation to Connecticut.
Throughout his 12-year career, the Philadelphia, Pa. native has competed in 180 regular season games, appearing in 95 of the Black Wolves' ¬â¹ 100 regular season games. Defensively, he has collected 542 loose balls and has caused 114 turnovers and offensively Manney has scored 13 goals and tallied 50 assists for 63 total career points.
"I bleed orange and black; this is where I want to finish my career," Manney said. "I love my teammates and the ever-growing fan base. I cannot wait to hit the turf this season to finish what we started."
