Thunder Bay Border Cats shortstop Brett Kay has been named to the 2012 Northwoods League Post-Season All Star Team in voting conducted by league coaches and media members.ÃÂ The native Arlington Heights, IL., played in 64 games for the Cats this season and batted .320 with 14 doubles, three triples, one home run and 30 runs batted in.ÃÂ Kay also had a .388 on-base percentage and made only 13 errors after winning the Rawlings "NWL Finest in the Field" Award in 2011.ÃÂ The 21-year old led the Cats with 77 hits, was secondÃÂ on the team with 21 stolen bases, and was second in RBI to Adam Landecker, who knocked in 32 runs.ÃÂ ÃÂ Kay played two years in Thunder Bay and is now heading into his senior season this fall at Illinois State University.ÃÂ
