Long Beach Breakers News Release
LONG BEACH, CA--The Long Beach Breakers have teamed up with FireOut California (www.fireoutcalifornia.com) and the Long Beach Fire Department for a toy drive during the Breakers basketball game on Thursday December 20th at Long Beach City College on Carson. Game time is 730pm but the fire trucks will be on display for the kids to see at 6pm. Those fans that bring an unwrapped toy will receive FREE admission into the basketball game.
Wayne Chaney, the founder of FireOut California and one who has dedicated his life to saving lives as a firefighter, played an important role in putting this event together. Peggy White, Breakers vice president, said, "We are honored that Mr. Chaney chose one of our basketball games to do their annual toy drive, it's the holiday season and it gives us another opportunity to play an important role in the community and especially in the children's lives, I can't wait to see the fire trucks myself".
The Breakers are currently on a six game winning streak and play this Saturday at Long Beach City College on Carson. Game time is at 730pm and former Long Beach State and Utah Jazz star Bryon Russell will be playing for the team.
Tickets are available through ticketmaster (213 480 3232), www.lbbreakers.com, 562 277 2344, or at the door.
