
Breakers, Mayor Marty Walsh to Host Women's World Cup Viewing Party Sunday at City Hall Plaza

HANOVER, Mass. (July 1, 2015) - Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and the Boston Breakers will host a Women's World Cup viewing party for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup final on Sunday, July 5, at 7 p.m. ET. The match features the U.S. Women's National Team against the winner of today's England vs. Japan semifinal.
The viewing party will take place at City Hall Plaza, which is located at One City Hall Square in Boston. The event is free and open to the public.
This is the fourth viewing party at City Hall Plaza during this World Cup. In total, more than 3,000 fans, including members of the Boston Breakers, came out to City Hall Plaza to watch the U.S. beat Germany, 2-0, in the semifinals, China, 1-0, in the quarterfinals and Colombia, 2-0, in the Round of 16.
The U.S. features Boston Breakers goalkeeper and 2014 NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year Alyssa Naeher.
