
Bravehearts Lead East All-Star to Victory

New Britain, CT - The Worcester Bravehearts brought 12 All-Stars to New Britain Stadium for the 2021 All-Star Game defeating the West All-Stars 10-2. Central Massachusetts natives Tyler Mudd (Holy Cross), Jack Choate (Assumption), LJ Keevan (Umass Lowell), and Nick Martin (Westfield State) headlined the'Hearts squad.
Tayven Kelley (Penn State) and Andrew Selima (Merrimack) began the game in the Starting Lineup for the East Division. The East came out swinging with 6 runs in the first 5 innings. Dakota Harris (Polk State) reached base and scored off a double from Gavin Noriega (Marist) in the 5th. Tayven Kelley (Penn State) went 1-3 with a single, run scored. Randy Flores (Franklin Pierce) and Nick Martin (Westfield State) entered in the 6th Inning, with Nick Martin stole home in the 7th Inning to put the game away.
Worcester's pitching was in control on the mound, Jack Choate (Assumption) and Tyler Mudd (Holy Cross) both throwing a scoreless inning of work. The final inning was started by LJ Keevan (Umass Lowell) and finished off by Ashland native Alex Amalfi (Umass Boston).
Jack Choate (Assumption) received Pitcher of the Game honors with a near perfect inning on the mound. Bravehearts return to action on Thursday at Fitton Field for a doubleheader with the New Britain Bees starting at 10:30AM.
