LYNN, Mass. - After a four-day hiatus from baseball, the Worcester Bravehearts returned with a 6-1 victory against the North Shore Navigators on July 6 at Fraser Field in Lynn, Mass.

The Bravehearts scored four unanswered runs in the first four innings off Navigators starter Ryan McAuliffe, as he was charged with the loss after giving up five runs on eight hits.

Worcester got on the board in the first inning with an RBI single from first baseman Mark DeYoung to score third baseman Dylan Harris. Harris finished 2-4 with an RBI groundout in the third inning, and DeYoung also had two hits and added an RBI double in the fifth inning.

Clark University pitcher and Bravehearts reliever Miles Sheehan got his third win of the season in three innings of work. Sheehan allowed only two hits and one walk. Incoming Northeastern University freshman Brian Christian got the start for Worcester and allowed only one run, but he only threw four innings and was not eligible for the win. Relievers Tyrone Miller and Holy Cross pitcher Sean Gustin each pitched an inning in relief to seal the win for the Bravehearts.

Despite taking the early lead, Worcester was held scoreless and hitless for 3.1 innings but added an additional run in the ninth inning.

The 17-8 Bravehearts will return home to face the Eastern Division-leading Brockton Rox at 7:05 July 7 at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field.
