
Bravehearts Conquered by Sliver Knights

NASHUA, NH- The Bravehearts lost 3-0 to the Nashua Silver Knights on Wednesday, making their overall record for the season 19-28.
The Silver Knights are the first on the board, scoring two runs in the bottom of the third inning, making the score 2-0. The Silver Knights would score another run in the bottom of the fourth inning to widen their lead. The score would remain 3-0 for the remainder of the game. Both teams managed to put runners on base throughout the game but were unable to break each other's defense and put more runs up on the board. The Bravehearts had a promising opportunity to take the lead when they loaded the bases in the top of the seventh inning but were unable to push any runs across and close the gap. The Silver Knights were able to hold onto their three-run lead for five straight innings to take the win.
The Bravehearts went through several pitchers throughout the game. Losing pitcher Joe Hauser (Northeastern) started for the Bravehearts. Hauser walked one batter and got six strikeouts for the Bravehearts. He was relieved by Auburn native, Coleman Picard (Bryant) in the bottom of the fifth inning. Picard gave up one walk and got two strikeouts for the 'Hearts before he was also relieved by Tyson Luna (Amherst) in the bottom of the seventh inning. Luna walked one batter before being replaced with Tommy Leimkuhler (Holy Cross) in the bottom of the eighth inning. Leimkuhler closed the game for the Bravehearts and got two strikeouts.
The Bravehearts' next game will be at home on Thursday, July 21st at 6:30 p.m. against the New Britain Bees.
