Brandy Helm selected as Heat dance team leader

Fayetteville, NC – "Sizzzzzling!' Best describes the latest development within The Fayetteville HEAT. Her name is Brandy Helm and she has been selected as The Fayetteville HEAT's dance team leader for the 2005.

"The selection process was not easy," said a team owner Richard King. "There were a lot of strong candidates for the position. We are anxious to get our dance team together and out in the community, spreading the good news of The Fayetteville HEAT."

Helm has danced with "The Sting," Fayetteville Fireantz (Southern Professional Hockey League); "Hoop Troop," Fayetteville Patriots (NBDL) and the former Cape Fear Wildcats "Purr-fection" dance team. In addition to professional leagues, Helm has cheered for her alma mater` Terry Sanford High School.

"It is an honor to be chosen as the Dance Team Coordinator for the Fayetteville Heat," Helm said. "I am very excited about putting the team together and working with the staff to have a successful inaugural season! I am very optimistic about the future of this organization and dance team. We can succeed and make a difference in the Fayetteville community!"

The Methodist College graduate was the choreographer for the 2004 Fayetteville Dogwood Festival Pageant, has served on numerous professional sports promotional teams and is a 2005 Calendar Girl for local radio station Rock 103.5.

The Fayetteville HEAT will have tryouts January 4th and 5th at Methodist College and final interviews will be held January 6th at the historic Prince Charles Hotel located in downtown Fayetteville. For more information call 482-HEAT.
