Brampton's Scott Howes Named Easton/CHL Player of the Month

GLENDALE, AZ (February 5, 2014) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Brampton's Scott Howes has been named the Easton Central Hockey League Player of the Month for January/2014. Howes will receive a special gift courtesy of Easton and the Central Hockey League to recognize his accomplishment.

The Toronto native recorded points in all nine games he played during the month scoring 11 goals with nine assists and a +10 plus/minus rating. Howes had a remarkable four-game stretch to start the month scoring 10 goals with four assists and a +9 plus/minus rating resulting in four straight wins for the Beast.

On the season, Howes has scored nearly as many goals as games played (13 strikes in 15 games) and has 13 assists for 26 total points. In his brief 37 game CHL career, Howes has scored 34 goals with 27 assists in 37 games (played 22 games with Allen last season).

Other players receiving consideration for the monthly award for January include Allen's Alex Lavoie and Tyler Ludwig, Arizona's David Rutherford, Paul McIlveen and Brandon Coccimiglio, Denver's Garett Bembridge and Troy Schwab, Missouri's Eric Castonguay and Andrew Courtney, Quad City's Gergo Nagy, Rapid City's Konrad Reeder, Winston Day Chief and Jesse Schultz, St. Charles's Nicklas Lindberg, Tulsa's Michel Beausoleil and Todd Robinson and Wichita's Tomas Klempa.
