NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (June 20)- Brahmas fans will find familiarity in the newest partner in the team's ownership as the Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced the addition of General Manager Mike Barack in their ownership group.

Barack is no stranger to the franchise as he will encounter a milestone, ten years, with the organization for the upcoming 2008-09 season. He joined the team in July of 1998. The St. Louis, MO native and avid hockey fan will continue his duties as General Manager with the Brahmas this year.

"It has been an exciting ride for me with the Brahmas with lots of highs and lows. Obviously our goal is to sell out every game and win a championship, and we will continue to try and accomplish those goals. I believe with Dan Wildfong and Forbes MacPherson at the helm, we can make this a reality," said Barack.

Barack places a tremendous amount of the Brahmas successes to the men who continued to keep the franchise up and running for the last decade.

"I would like to thank Stuart Fraser and Andy Moog for maintaining their ownership for over the past ten years. Stuart and Andy are currently the longest continuous owners from the WPHL (dating back to the creation of the WPHL prior to its merger with the CHL). Stuart's financial and personal commitment has been unbelievable," said Barack.

An extension of gratitude is also in order for the fans, sponsors, and City of North Richland Hills according to the newest ownership partner. Barack believes he owes a lot to the tremendously loyal fans for their passion and support of the team. He is also appreciative of North Richland Hills for taking the Brahmas into their community with open arms.

Barack wanted to especially thank three sponsors who have also supported the team through thick and thin: Coca-Cola (Jay Long and Rick Gillis), Coors Distributing of Fort Worth (Marvin Branch and Larry Anfin) and Thumbtechs (George Fassett). "These companies, among others, have been very supportive for many years," said Barack.

Barack also credits NYTEX Sports for the Brahmas and resurrecting and working to insure the franchise stability in North Richland Hills.

"Dr. Salvatore Trazzera and Frank Trazzera were instrumental in bringing back the Brahmas. Their commitment to the Brahmas and amateur hockey in our area is unparalleled," said Barack.

Texas Brahmas majority owner, Stuart Fraser is happy about the additional role as owner for Barack.

"He epitomizes the Brahmas franchise; passion, devotion and dedication. Mike's level of professionalism and drive are what keeps him and the organization top-notch in the league," said Fraser.

During his tenure, the Brahmas have won numerous league marketing and sales awards, including Barack being named co-Executive of the Year in 2000-2001 by the WPHL.
