South Alabama Bounce News Release

Mobile, AL -- The Southern Alabama Bounce' main goal is to support the children of Mobile and the surrounding community. The team has announced a partnership with the YMCA of South Alabama.

"We are honored to be a part of this wonderful organization," said owner Victor Calhoun. "The YMCA of South Alabama has been serving Mobile County for quite some time now and is one of over 500 agencies nationwide striving to aid in the positive development of our youth. Volunteers remain the backbone of the YMCA's program by serving as friends, mentors, and role models, all to help children build self-confidence" through partnerships with professional teams like the Southern Alabama Bounce of the ABA.

It is the YMCA's goal to provide support for our youth and be able to create and maintain valuable relationships. YMCA's spirit and energy motivates this Basketball organization to meet a growing need for positive role models as the YMCA continues to expand their reach to children who need the programs the most.

The ABA Southern Alabama Bounce welcome the opportunity to enjoy the rewarding experience of being positive role models to our children, also have the unique opportunity to learn a lot ourselves! We feel that the need for mentors like the Southern Alabama Bounce Basketball Organization of the ABA has never been greater.

Although thousands of children in the program have been helped, the YMCA has a large waiting list of boys and girls who would benefit from a relationship with a caring adult.

The entire Bounce staff, players, and dance team are committed to be active community leaders and join the YMCA in building a great community support program for the kids. The Southern Alabama Bounce encourage everyone to take part in this terrific and worthwhile program.
