HANOVER, Mass. (Dec. 4, 2014) - The Boston Breakers announced today the club has signed Brazilian forward Ketlen Wiggers. Per team and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 22-year-old from Rio Fortuna, Brazil currently plays for Centro Olimpico in Brazil, where she won the Federaç=E3o Pernambucana de Futebol in 2013. She won the same competition in both 2011 and 2012 while playing for Vitoria de Santa Ant=E3o. Wiggers also played for Vittsjo in Sweden's Damallsvenskan in 2013.
"Ketlen is tremendous with the ball at her feet. Her balance and close control when running with the ball is exceptional, and she is capable of scoring goals from a variety of positions on the field, which adds more dimensions to our attacking threat in 2015," Boston Breakers general manager Lee Billiard said. "She is another technically gifted player who will be exciting to watch, and another player with experience above her years."
Ketlen has played in Brazil's top-flight league and competitions since 2007, first taking the field for Santos Futebol Clube as a 15-year-old. In four years at Santos, Ketlen won the Paulista, Brazilian National League, Regional Games Championships and two Brazilian Cups (2008, 2009). She also won the Libertadores America Cup in 2009.

At the 2010 and 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cups, Ketlen played in a combined four games. She made her youth national team debut in 2008 for the Brazil U-17 squad that finished as runners-up at the 2008 South American Under-17 Women's Championship.
