Boston Breakers Midfielders Bia and Rafinha Called into Brazilian National Team Camp

HANOVER, Mass (May 23, 2015) - Boston Breakers midfielders Bia and Rafinha have been called in to train with the Brazilian Women's National Team. The duo will join the team in Brazil for training camp from May 23 through June 4.

A mainstay on the national team from 2010 through 2014, Bia won the South American Championship with Brazil in 2014. She also captured the Sao Paulo International Tournament in in 2009 and 2013.

Since returning from an early season hamstring injury, Bia has recently appeared in two NWSL games for the Breakers coming off the bench.

Rafinha, who made her debut with the national team in 2013, helped lead Brazil to a third-place finish at the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan, Russia. She scored two goals in a 2-1 win over South Africa in the bronze-medal match.

An important offseason addition for Boston, Rafinha has started five of six games in which she has appeared and logged 450 minutes in the NWSL.
