Kenosha Kingfish News Release
Kenosha, Wis. -After homering last night, Alex Borglin continued his hot hitting with two RBI triples in the Kingfish 10-5 victory over the Wisconsin Woodchucks Monday night at Simmons Field.
The scoring started right off the bat for the Kingfish (41-19), with Zach Weigel leading off the bottom of the first with a walk. Borglin followed with an RBI triple down the right field line to score Weigel. Borglin later came around after Eric Filia reached on an error for a 2-0 Kingfish lead.
Up 2-1 in the fifth, Steve Sensley led off the inning with a single. Two batters later, Weigel singled home Sensley for another Kingfish run. Borglin then stepped into the batter's box and hit his second triple of the night, this one off the right center field wall to score Weigel. A sacrifice fly by Filia made it 5-1 Kingfish after five.
The Kingfish bats blew the game wide open with a Filia bases clearing double in the seventh inning to drive home three runs. Two more runs crossed the plate in the inning for a 10-2 Kingfish lead.
Filia led the Kingfish with five total RBIs in the game and Borglin had three RBIs as well. Weigel crossed home plate three times and had three hits. Sensley finished with two hits and two runs.
