Boone Jenner Named Oshawa Generals Player of the Week

Oshawa, ON - October 17th, 2011 - Off to a great start to the season and currently leading the team in scoring, Boone Jenner has been named Oshawa Generals Player of the Week for the period ending October 16th. Jenner, the Generals Captain, had a solid week scoring 2 goals and 4 assists for 6 points in four games this week.

The native of Dorchester, Ontario was the model of consistency scoring in each of the Generals four games which included wins against Kingston, Mississauga, Peterborough along with a shootout loss to the Ottawa 67's.

The Columbus Blue Jackets 2nd round pick now leads the Generals in scoring with 5 goals and 8 assists for 13 points through 10 games this season.

Also in consideration for this week's award were forwards Lucas Lessio and JP Labardo. Lessio posted a hat-trick in Friday night's game against the Ottawa 67's and also added 2 assists during the week, while Labardo had two goals including the overtime game winner last Monday against the Kingston Frontenacs as part of a three point week.
