Bombers Score Early and Often in 12-2 Win over Cavemen

HANNIBAL, Mo. - Everyone in the Dubois County Bombers' lineup either scored a run or drove in at least one, and the Bombers rode that balanced offense to a 12-2 win over the Hannibal Cavemen at Samuel Clemens Field.

Ty Simpson earned his fourth win of the season with a seven-inning, two-run effort. He allowed six hits and two walks while striking out four.

Dylan Terrell lost for Hannibal, allowing four runs in two innings on four hits and two walks.

Left fielder Landon Curry, back to his typical leadoff spot, went three-for-six with two runs scored and three runs-batted-in to lead the Bombers' offense, and third baseman Cody Daily went one-for-three with three runs scored and two RBI.

Dubois County scored all of its runs in innings two through five, starting with a four-run second.

The Bombers improved to 7-7 while Hannibal fell to 6-8. The two teams clash again Friday night at 7:35 p.m. in Hannibal before Dubois County returns home Saturday for a doubleheader against the Western Division-leading Terre Haute Rex at 6:15 p.m. at League Stadium.
