
Bomback, Moran Can-Am League Players of the Week

DURHAM, NC - The Can-Am League announced today that Pittsfield Colonials INF Danny Bomback and RHP Patrick Moran have been named the Pointstreak Batter and Pitcher of the Week. The selection was made by Pointstreak, the official statistician of the Can-Am League.
In six games this past week, Bomback batted .364 with a pair of doubles, four runs scored, two home runs, and six RBI. The Davie, FL resident reached base at a .391 clip and posted a .727 slugging percentage in 22 at-bats. Bomback is batting .306 on the season with 16 stolen bases and 37 RBI, tying him for fourth in the league.
Moran won starts against Brockton and Quebec this past week, throwing five solid innings in each appearance. The 23-year-old surrendered just two earned runs over the two starts and allowed only nine runners to reach base safely over his ten innings of work. The righty improved his ERA on the season to 3.86 and was credited with a save on June 20th in a victory over Sussex in addition to his two wins.
