
Boerema Named Force Assistant GM

EAST GRAND RAPIDS, MICH., SEPTEMBER 27, 2002_ The Grand Rapids Force, a member of United States Professional Volleyball (USPV), today announced the promotion of Marcy Boerema to the post of assistant general manager.
In her new role, Borerma will be responsible for marketing, advertising, game operations and sales on a local level.
Boerema served as the Force's Director of Media & Public Relations for the inaugural 2002 season, where she was primarily responsible for the team's relationship with the media and the West Michigan community. Programs implemented through her department helped the Force set a USPV single match attendance record and a USPV season attendance record.
"Marcy has been an integral part of the Force and our successful launch of professional volleyball in the West Michigan community," said Greg Rogers, Force General Manager. "Her move to the assistant GM position will make us a stronger organization and allow her to fully utilize her talent and skills."
Boerema has over six years experience in public relations and marketing in West Michigan.
