Bob Janosz Named IceDogs Goaltending Coach

St. Catharines, Ontario - The Niagara IceDogs have announced that Bob Janosz has been named the teams Goaltending Coach.

General Manager, Joey Burke was excited to announce the recent hire saying "We are thrilled with the addition of Bob to our staff today. Bob's pedigree in coaching at the professional level is second to none, and brings a level of professionalism and knowledge to our group that we are very excited about. He has worked closely with Stephen Dhillon in Buffalo for years, and is perfectly suited to join our group at this point in the season. We expect he will seamlessly transition into the role with a level of comfortability with our starter that sometimes can take months/years to accomplish. I know he is going to be a great fit here. I couldn't be more excited to welcome Bob to Niagara!"

A goaltending coach for over 20 years, Janosz has worked with the Buffalo Sabres, Florida Panthers and their AHL affiliates, as well as several current NHL goaltenders including Linus Ullmark, Craig Anderson and Jacob Markstrom. He also spent nearly 10 years scouting for USA Hockey. Most recently, he was the goaltending coach at Buffalo State University. He currently owns and operates the Janosz School of Goaltending.

Janosz earned a Masters Degree in Physical Education and Health from Canisius College.

Founded in the 2007-2008 season, the Niagara IceDogs Hockey Club are a member team of the Ontario Hockey League. As 2012 & 2016 OHL Eastern Conference Champions, the Niagara IceDogs are dedicated to excellence on and off the ice.
