ORANGE, Calif. - After a training session Wednesday morning, members of the Orange County Blues took time to visit with some very inspiring patients at Children's Hospital of Orange County.

Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) is celebrating its 50-year anniversary this year, serving as one of the top children's hospitals in the country. Orange County Blues FC and its official charity, Soccer For Hope, are proud to continuously contribute to the amazing work done at CHOC. Ever since rebranding as the OC Blues in 2014, players and coaches have been regular visitors to the children there.

"The whole experience was new and strange for me - a mixture of feelings and emotions, not knowing what to really expect," said midfielder Dusan Stevanovic. "The thing that got me the most is that feeling that we did something positive and meaningful. The appreciation on those children's faces is something that I will never forget. This experience brought me nothing but joy."

Members of the team spent the entire afternoon visiting three floors of patients, signing autographs as well as reading books, coloring pictures, and playing games with the children. The Blues players seemed to instantly connect with the children, with both sides getting great joy from the experience.

"It was amazing how strong the kids were," said forward A'kwafei Ajeakwa. "Each story was inspirational in its own way and it felt good to spent time with them and make them smile."
