
Blues Sign Forward Dave Scatchard

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has signed forward Dave Scatchard to a two-way contract.
Scatchard, 34, spent his 2009-10 campaign between the American Hockey League's (AHL) Milwaukee Admirals and the National Hockey League's (NHL) Nashville Predators. With Milwaukee, he made 36 appearances and posted 30 points on 20 goals and 10 assists to go along with 59 penalty minutes while he registered five points on three goals and two assists to accompany 17 penalty minutes in 16 games with Nashville.
During the past 13 seasons, the 6-3, 210-pound center has had an NHL-heavy career including stints with Vancouver, the New York Islanders, Boston, Phoenix and Nashville totaling 651 games, 268 points (128g, 140a) and 1034 penalty minutes. In addition, his NHL playoff career has spanned 17 games and yielded four points (2g, 2a) and 34 penalty minutes. He has also accrued 49 points (29g, 20a) and 138 penalty minutes in his 74-game AHL career which has included stops in Syracuse, Hartford and Milwaukee.
The Hinton, Alberta native was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the second round, 42nd overall in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft.
