
Blue Rocks Announce 2012 Seasonal Staff

Wilmington, DE - The Wilmington Blue Rocks are proud to announce their 2012 team of seasonal employees. The following eight individuals began their Wilmington tenure on February 1. Half of the 2012 seasonal crew began their baseball careers as game-day marketing interns for the franchise.
Josh Argo enters his second season with the Wilmington Blue Rocks and his first as the merchandising assistant. Argo, 23, started the 2011 season as a game-day intern and was promoted to the community affairs assistant position during the campaign. The York College of Pennsylvania alumnus majored in sport management with a minor in public relations. A native of Swedesboro, NJ, Argo is a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan.
Mike Diodati rejoins the Blue Rocks for a second stint after serving as a game-day marketing intern during the 2010 season. He will serve as the game entertainment assistant for the Blue Rocks in 2012. A native of Jamison, PA, Diodati graduated in May 2011 from the University of Delaware with a degree in sport management and a minor in leadership. After recently running the marketing and new/social media efforts for the Bucks County Ice Sports Center in Warminster, PA, he has also spent time working for the University of Delaware Football team, the Philadelphia Wings and the University of Delaware Ice Arenas. An avid fan of all sports, Diodati is most likely to be found rooting for the New York Yankees, his Delaware Blue Hens and Baltimore Ravens quarterback/fellow Delaware alumnus, Joe Flacco.
Dave Herman enters his second season with the Wilmington Blue Rocks and his first as a ticket office assistant. Herman, 23, began his Blue Crew tenure as a game-day marketing intern in 2010. The Misericordia University alumnus majored in sport management. A native of Fort Washington, PA, he can often be found supporting his Philadelphia sports teams.
Reggie Hinson, 25, enters his first season with the Wilmington Blue Rocks as a group sales assistant. Reggie brings experience to the department after serving in a similar role with the Philadelphia Soul. Dedicated to pursue a sports career, he graduated from Winston-Salem State University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in sport management as well as an expected graduation from Delaware State University with a master's degree in sport administration in May 2012. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he currently resides in Wilmington, DE.
Jeff O'Connor enters his first year with the Wilmington Blue Rocks as the assistant director of broadcasting and media relations. The 24-year old native of Green Brook, NJ spent the 2011 season with the St. Paul Saints of the independent American Association as a broadcast/media relations intern. O'Connor graduated from Rowan University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in radio/television/film and in 2011 with a master's degree in public relations. While at Rowan, he broadcasted football, basketball, hockey, and baseball for the university radio station, WGLS, and was the sports director for the 2008-2009 year. Jeff worked as a producer for two years at SportsRadio 610-WIP in Philadelphia. He has also produced Princeton University athletic events for the past year along with serving as a reporter covering North Jersey high school sports. In 2008, he was a broadcaster for the nearby Camden Riversharks of the independent Atlantic League. His on-air work has been recognized by the Broadcast Education Association, the Society of Professional Journalists, the Communicator Awards, and the Philadelphia AIR awards.
Dan Trimble is a proud graduate of the University of Delaware where he studied sport management and minored in coaching. He has coached baseball at Glasgow High School and worked with organizations that include the University of Delaware football team, International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Program and the Wilmington Blue Rocks. Dan enters his third year with the Blue Rocks and plans to be crazier than ever this upcoming season. You can find him on game days dressed up as a Smurf, the Incredible Hulk or any other ridiculous outfit the staff can find for him. If you cannot spot him there, you will most likely see him singing or dancing on the dugout to "Jump On It" with his sidekick, Kayla Miller. Dan guarantees that this will be the most entertaining season of them all.
Ed Wagner begins his first year as a seasonal full-time employee with the Blue Rocks. A native of Barto, PA, the 24-year-old University of Delaware graduate majored in sport management. During his time at UD, Ed was an academic all-star as well as a two-year letter winner as the punter on Blue Hens' football team. He also spent a full year interning under director of football operations, Jerry Oravitz, as well as a semester with sports information director, Scott Selheimer. As a die-hard Kansas City Royals fan, Ed is greatly looking forward to working with the marketing team for the upcoming 2012 season.
Cori Whittaker is in her first season with the Wilmington Blue Rocks, working as a ticket office assistant. The Wilmington native has been attending Blue Rocks games for as long as she can remember. Whittaker is a 2011 graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in sport management. She is a diehard Phillies and Eagles fan and very loyal to her Delaware Blue Hens football team as well. She also loves to read, watch an excessive amount of TV, and loves to go running to make up for all the sitting around she does when reading and watching TV.
The Blue Rocks' 2012 season gets underway on Friday, April 6 in Myrtle Beach, SC against the Pelicans (Texas Rangers). Frawley Stadium lights the lights for the 2012 home opener on Friday, April 13 when the Blue Crew hosts the Frederick Keys (Baltimore Orioles).
