Blue Racers Kings of the South

April 9, 2014 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL)
Marion Blue Racers News Release

The Marion Blue Racers (6-1) beat the Dayton Sharks (4-3) for the second time this season 46-36 in Dayton, Ohio. Marion has completed its South Division schedule by earning a ( 5-0) record against our respected divisional opponents.

The offensive line, spearheaded by Robert Price, J. T. Haynes, Kris Staffford and Robert Gay allowed Game MVP QB Chri s Wallace the time to guide the offense to its sixth win, in his Blue Racer debut. Wallace and the Blue Racers look to continue that momentum in a hostile environment at the Dow event center in Saginaw, Michigan.

In a quick word after the game, CEO and Head Coach LaMonte Coleman highlighted the Blue Racer fans that made the trip to Dayton. "Thank you Marion fans for showing up tonight in full force with your energy and rowdy noise makers. It truly made a difference!"

The next game will be on April 12th at 7:30p.m. vs last year's CIFL Runner Up, the Saginaw Sting (6-0), in Saginaw Michigan. With a win in Saginaw next week, your Blue Racers could move into first place of the CIFL and, along with that, take home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
