
Blue Crabs Announce Home Game Times, Fireworks Dates

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs have announced home game times along with 23 fireworks dates for the 2009 season.
With a few exceptions, home games will begin at 7:05 p.m. Monday-Friday, 6:35 p.m. on Saturdays, and 2:05 p.m. on Sundays. The Blue Crabs will also have three day games. There will be a 10:35a.m. start on Wednesday, April 29th, a 10:35a.m. start on Thursday, May 21st and an 11:05 a.m. start time on Wednesday, July 8th which will be coined as a Camp Day.
The 2009 season will feature 23 spectacular, post-game fireworks displays, including shows after all of the Friday and Saturday games during the Blue Crabs 2009 season.
"We've worked hard to make this season's promotional calendar bigger and better than last season by adding things like post-game fireworks shows on every Friday and Saturday Night. Every game will offer a unique experience at an affordable price," said Blue Crabs Assistant General Manager Omar Roque, who joined the ball club in October.
The 140-game Atlantic League schedule includes 70 games at Regency Furniture Stadium. The first series of 2009 is scheduled for April 23-26 against the Long Island Ducks. The complete promotional schedule including giveaways, theme nights and other activities will be released in the coming weeks.
