WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed non-import punter Mike Renaud to a contract extension, the team announced today. As per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Renaud (6-2, 217, Concordia, DOB: May 25, 1983 in Ottawa, Ontario) is in his third season with Winnipeg and was named an East Division All-Star last year after punting for a league-high 5,623 yards and a 42.9-yard average.
"We're very happy to extend Mike's contract as we believe he is one of the top young punters in our league today," said Vice President and General Manager Joe Mack. "His first two years with Winnipeg have been very good and we expect much of the same in the future."
"Winnipeg is a great place to play football and I look forward to being a Blue Bomber for many years to come," said Renaud.
