Green Bay Blizzard News Release

At the end of each arenafootball2 season, the af2 League Office presents awards to teams for their efforts in marketing, promotions and Community Relations. This season, the Green Bay Blizzard has been awarded Best Promotional Item for their replica leather football helmets, which were distributed to 1,000 fans prior to the Saturday, May 14 game against the Louisville Fire. It was "Old School Football Night," sponsored by Oneida Casino, and the Blizzard would go on to defeat the eventual American Conference Champions 65-49. The award for Best Promotional Item is the first such award for the Blizzard, who edged out the second place Arkansas Twisters, who presented autographed footballs to their fans, and the third place Quad City Steamwheelers, who gave away folding chairs.
