Blizzard to Host Pop Warner Football Game at Halftime

Green Bay Blizzard News Release

The Green Bay Blizzard has announced that they will host a very special event at halftime of this Friday's second-round playoff game against the defending af2 Champion Memphis Xplorers: an on-field game between two East River Pop Warner youth football teams.

The two teams participating will be Vos Electric and Allouez Kiwanis. The teams will take the field for a six-minute game. Vos Electric will be clad in their distinctive teal and silver jerseys, and Allouez Kiwanis will be wearing their Kelly green and white jerseys.

This will be the first time the Blizzard has hosted such an event, and it will take place during the first home playoff game in franchise history. The East Division Champion Blizzard enjoyed a bye week after winning the division on July 28th. The defending af2 Champion Memphis Xplorers are coming off a first-round playoff win on Wild Card weekend.

The game will also feature the return of the Morning Glory Dairy "Grip It. Sip It." milk bottle noisemakers. Before the game the Blizzard will hand out two thousand milk bottles, and Blizzard fans are encouraged to fill the bottles with coins for two reasons: first, to make the Resch Center as loud as possible for the Xplorers, and second, to help raise money to support Blizzard President Brian Noble's new foundation, "A Noble Cause" for Kids with Cancer. After the game, fans can drop their milk bottles and change off in bins. "A Noble Cause," provides support to local families of kids fighting cancer.

Tickets for Friday's game are still available. Contact the Resch Center Ticket Star Box office at (920) 494-3401 for tickets.

For more information, contact the Blizzard office at (920) 405-1264.
