Blizzard to Host Open Tryout in Milwaukee

The Green Bay Blizzard would like to announce an open tryout on Sunday, November 18th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The tryout is open to any athlete (excluding kickers) interested in playing for the Green Bay Blizzard of the af2. Participants will be trying out for the 2008 Green Bay Blizzard, looking to make it back to the ArenaCup. The Green Bay Blizzard had eight players from its 2006 American Conference Championship Team sign with an AFL team for the 2007 season.

Running the camp will be the coaching staff of the Green Bay Blizzard. Also present at the camp will be various coaches from the Arena Football League (AFL).

Green Bay Blizzard Tryout Information:

Date - Sunday, November 18th, 2007

Registration - 7:00-8:00 am (Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers & Defensive Backs)

8:30 - 10:00am (Offensive/Defensive Line, Fullbacks & Linebackers)

Tryout starts as soon as registration is complete (approximately 8:00 am) and will run until 12:00 pm.

Tryout is open to all athletes interested in playing for the Green Bay Blizzard in 2008. (This try-out is not for Kickers)

Day of Tryout - $65 CASH OR MONEY ORDER ONLY!

Participants will be required to sign a waiver prior to taking part in any activities.

Events will Include:

- Measure Height/Weight

- 40 yard dash

- 5/10/5 Pro Shuttle

- Vertical Leap/Broad Jump

- Position Drills

The tryout will be held indoors on a field turf field. Participants will need to wear shorts, t-shirts and turf shoes or molded cleats.
