Green Bay Blizzard News Release

The Green Bay Blizzard and the Milwaukee Iron faced off for the second time this season at the Brad- ley Center in Milwaukee. The Blizzard offense was fring on all cylinders scoring 86 points and setting a Blizzard franchise record and they did it against arenafootball2's (af2) top ranked defense. Blizzard scored on every offensive possession scoring 12 touchdowns, one feld goal and allowing only 42 points gave the Blizzard the win against their in-state rival. Other Blizzard records were set by the players individually, when backup quarterback Mark Nicolet (2 of 5 for 78 yards and 2 TD's) takes a quarterback draw 44 yards for a Blizzard touchdown setting a Blizzard record for longest rush from scrimmage. Starting quarterback Gino Guidugli (22 of 25 for 290 yards, 5 TD's) also had a great day passing after going 22 for 25 and an 88 percent completion pass- ing rating which is also a Blizzard record. The Blizzard's frst three scores came on Guidugli rushes from one, nine and seven yards respectively. The Blizzard really ignited their offense starting in the second quarter beginning with a 22 yard touchdown pass to WR Nate Forse (12 receptions for 184 yards, 3 TD's). In the fnal minute before halftime both teams managed to score a combined four times, which in- cluded three Blizzard touchdowns and one Iron touchdown. WR's Robert Garth (5 receptions for 88 yards, 2 TD's) and Forse each caught a touchdown reception while the third Blizzard score came on a Shadrack Okoebor interception return for a touchdown. Blizzard kicker Bob Forstrom got in on the scoring in the second half with a 20 yard feld goal. Just minutes later Forse caught a 16 yard pass from Guidugli scoring his third touchdown reception of the game at the end of the third quarter. In the fourth quarter Blizzard WR Anthony Crissinger-Hill (7 receptions for 96 yards, 2 TD's) caught a six yard pass from Guidugli to put the Blizzard up 65-28. Guidugli was then replaced by back-up quar- terback Nicolet who on his frst series threw a 44 yard touchdown bomb to Crissinger-Hill. On the following Blizzard possession Nicolet catches the Iron's #1 ranked defense asleep and scores a 44 yard rushing touchdown matching his 44 yard touchdown toss to Crissinger-Hill earlier in the game. Each team adds another score before the end of the game allowing the Blizzard to leave the Bradley Center for the second time this season with a big win and a fnal score of 86-42. The Blizzard has a bye this upcoming week but their next game will be July 11th when the team hits the road again to play the Quad City Steamwheelers.
