Green Bay Blizzard News Release

After a struggling opening weekend versus the Spokane Shock, the Green Bay Blizzard refocused and retooled in preparation for their first road trip of the season heading to Huntsville, Alabama to take on the Tennessee Valley Vipers.

Last season the Blizzard lost to the Vipers 26-21 in their only meeting of the season. Fortunately for the Blizzard these two teams have very few returning players from the 2007 season. In a nail biting game that came down to a last second field goal attempt, the Blizzard prevailed 37-35 over the Vipers.

The Green Bay Blizzard will look to continue their winning ways this week on Friday, April 11th at U.S. Cellular Field at the Resch Center as the Blizzard take on the Manchester Wolves. The night will also feature the 3rd Annual J.J. Keller Foundation High School Tug-O-War contest including 16 area high school football teams in a match of strength and stamina. Two-time defending champion Oconto High School will be on hand to defend their crown. Tickets start at only $8 for a full night of football and tug-o-war fun!!!! Bring the family and see what Blizzard football is all about!

For more information or for group discounted tickets, contact the Blizzard office at (920)405-1264.
