Green Bay, WI - The Green Bay Blizzard introduced Rik Richards as the new Head Coach and Director of Football Operations during its Fan Open House at the Resch Center Tuesday night.
Richards has a football resume that spans the better part of the last decade, including extensive experience specializing in the indoor game. He has worked with seven arena/indoor football teams, including six stints as a head coach.
Richards comes to Green Bay after coaching last season in Missouri with the River City Rage of the Indoor Football League compiling a 9-3 record before leaving. He spent 2006 and 2007 with the Rock River Raptors. As the Head Coach and Director of Football Operations, Rik guided the Raptors to the United Football League Central Division Championship in 2006 and Eastern Conference crown in 2007. In two seasons, the Raptors led the UIF in pass defense and ranked second in overall defense
In 2004, Richards was named the Head Coach/Director of Football Operations and General Manager of the expansion Richmond Bandits of the American Indoor Football League. He guided the team to the Inaugural League Championship finishing the year with a 11-1 record.
From 2003 until 2004, Richards became the first Head Coach for the AF2's Mohegan Wolves which moved to Manchester.
In 2002 Richards became the youngest Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator in professional football for the AF2's Charleston Swamp Foxes. He led the team to a franchise best 9-7 record.
Prior to Charleston, Richards spent a season as the defensive line and special teams coach with the Bismarck Blaze of the original IFL. The Richards led defense posted an impressive 13-4 record, leading the IFL in total defense.
A native of Seattle, Washington Richards also serves as the Associate Vice President of Collegiate Scouting for the Florida based Scouting Bureau and Draft Data Association.
Richards has sent 27 players to the NFL and has amassed an impressive 60-28 overall record.

4th Annual Bullfrogs "Hot Stove" set for January 7th
Baltimore Orioles Pitcher Jason Berken to Speak
Green Bay, WI - The Green Bay Bullfrogs Baseball Club announced today that they will hold their 4th Annual "Bullfrogs Hot Stove" presented by Country Inn & Suites East and WFRV Channel 5 on Thursday, January 7, 2010.
Festivities for the event include Baltimore Orioles Pitcher Jason Berken as a guest speaker. Berken is from nearby De Pere, WI and was a standout baseball player for the West De Pere Phantoms. The event will also include a special presentation from Bullfrogs' Owner Jeff Royle. His topics will include Bullfrogs news and updates, information about a potential new baseball stadium, as well as Blizzard football updates.
Door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening including a pair of 2010 Bullfrogs Season Tickets for the Grand Prize. This event will be hosted at The Meadows Conference Center located next to the Country Inn & Suites East at 850 Kepler Drive. Doors will open to the public at 6pm with the presentation beginning at 7pm.
The event will be free admission, with a Wisconsin Style Brat Fry Buffet available for purchase for $10. Children ages 10 and under can eat for FREE per each paid adult buffet. The Brat Fry includes brats, hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad and coleslaw. The buffet will be available from 6pm - 7pm. Beverages will be available for additional purchase.
Tickets will be available for pick up/purchase at the Bullfrogs Office beginning Monday November 30that 9am. The Bullfrogs office is located at 1306 Main Street. Tickets will be given on a first come first serve basis. There will only be 400 available.
The night will include inflatable games for kids, special merchandise offers in our "Team Store" and one night only ticket specials.
