June 10, 2019 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Green Bay Blizzard News Release

The Green Bay Blizzard dominated their opponent for the second week in a row defeating the Cedar Rapids River Kings 56 to 15 in Cedar Rapids on Saturday night. The Blizzard win, combined with an overtime loss by the Tucson Sugar Skulls at Arizona, has clinched the fourth seed and a first round home playoff game at the Resch Center on Friday June 21. The opponent will be decided after this weekend's games.

Running back Anthony Philyaw was the offensive star of the game. Running behind a dominating offensive line, Anthony carried the ball 16 times for 88-yards and 4 touchdowns. Quarterback Lenorris Footman completed 10 of his 13 passes for 166-yards and 3 touchdowns. He also ran for 52-yards including a 49-yard touchdown run in the 3rd quarter.

Defensively, the Blizzard were led by linebacker Ameris Bailey who had 9 tackles. Defensive back Joe Powell returned from injury and picked up where he left off with 6 tackles and an interception. But the defensive highlight may have been by lineman Silverberry Mouhon when he picked up a blocked extra point in the first quarter and ran it back 40-yards for the safety.

The Blizzard will be announcing playoff ticket sales soon. Their last regular season game is this Saturday, June 15th night at the Resch Center. It's Military Appreciation Night. Kickoff is at 7:05pm.
