The Green Bay Blizzard has been assigned four local players by the af2 League Office, which include K Bob Forstrom (5'7", 170 St. Norbert College), OL/DL Bob Docherty (6'6", 274 UW-Oshkosh), WR Scott Burnoski (6'2", 204 UW-La Crosse) and Andrew Rekuski (6'3", 305 UW-Eau Claire).

Bob Forstrom an Upper Michigan Native, graduating from Kingsford High School, was an All-American kicker for the Green Knights of St. Norbert College. In his final season, Forstrom was 6 for 8 on field goals with a long of 43 yards and 56 for 58 on extra points. Bob also earned an invite to kick in the 2006 Aztec Bowl, a game for Division III All-Stars to compete against the Mexican All-Star team.

Forstrom replies after being asked how he feels about playing for the Blizzard, "I feel real comfortable playing in Green Bay. I have played here for the last four years at St. Norbert."

Forstrom also feels that playing for the Blizzard will give him a great opportunity to move up to the next level. "Green Bay is a great football town. Playing for the Blizzard will give me a chance to succeed and hopefully move up to that next level," comments Forstrom.

Another local player, Bob Docherty will join the Blizzard in 2007. Docherty played for the University of Wisconsin Badgers and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Titans. In his career at UW-Oshkosh, where he earned All-American honors, Docherty played in 18 games, including 15 starts, caught 33 passes for 452 yards with 5 touchdowns. Docherty spent time in camp with the Kansas City Chiefs prior to joining the Blizzard.

"I am excited about playing for the Blizzard. It's great being close to home, playing such a fast-paced game, replies Docherty.

Scott Burnoski comes to the Blizzard after playing at UW-La Crosse. The coaching staff is looking forward to Burnoski joining the team. Scott is the career leading at UW-La Crosse in receptions (195), receiving yards (3,004) and receiving touchdowns (30). He had at least one touchdown catch in 18 of his last 23 games and finished his career with a reception in 35 consecutive games. Burnoski had nine career 100-yard receiving games.

Andrew Rekuski, a lineman from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is looking to step in on one of the best lines from 2006. The Blizzard had the best running attack in af2 last season, and the Blizzard look to build on that for the upcoming season.
