Blazers Burn Bruins 7-2
January 25, 2008 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Chilliwack Bruins News Release
Chilliwack BC - Three goals in the second and four in the third propelled the Kamloops Blazers to a big 7-2 win tonight in Chilliwack. Seven different goal scorers bulged the twine for the Blazers, who have now won their fifth game of the season versus the Bruins and jump past the Bruins for 7th spot in the WHL's Western Conference Standings.
The Bruins, felled by injury and illness, dressed only 19 skaters this evening, and were unable to go on their vaunted power play until the third period, when Brandon Campos notched his 19th of the season to make it 4-2. But three more unanswered goals by the Blazers sealed the deal and the Blazers skated away with the victory.
The Bruins will have a chance to answer back, as these two teams will meet again on Saturday in Kamloops.
