
Blaze WR Eric McCain Signs to CFL

SALT LAKE CITY -The Utah Blaze are pleased to announce that WR Eric McCain (6-6, 215, Glendale CC) has been signed to the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. The Argonauts signed McCain on January 24th, 2011.
"McCain has tremendous talent and we wish him the best of luck in the CFL," said Blaze Head Coach Ron James. "While we are losing a great player, it exemplifies the type of highly talented team we have put together for the 2011 season."
McCain was assigned to the Blaze on September 30th, 2010 by the Arena Football League. Before joining the team, he gained experience in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks and BC Lions of the CFL. In 2009, he
played seven games, recording six touchdowns with Billings Outlaws of the Indoor Football League and helped capture their first ever IFL Championship.
The Blaze will maintain his AFL rights and should he return to the Arena Football League, he will be reactivated to the Blaze roster from the "Other League Exempt" list.
