Blaze WR/DB Hampton Earns League Honors

SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Blaze are proud to announce that WR/DB Brandon Hampton (5-9, 190, California) was named JLS Ironman of the Week by the Arena Football League for his efforts in Week 3 versus the Alabama Vipers.
Hampton tallied three kick returns for 82 yards and a touchdown. He also tallied a 46-yard interception for a score. So far this season, Hampton has returned seven kick-offs for 251 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 35.9 yards per return. In last week's game, Hampton made 5.5 tackles and one forced fumble, proving he is a threat both on defense and special teams.
The Blaze hit the road this week to take on the undefeated Chicago Rush (3-0) on Friday, April 23rd with kickoff at 6 pm. (MT). The game will be broadcasted live on 1280 The Zone. The following week, the Blaze return to Maakoa Field at the E Center to take on the Bossier- Shreveport Battlewings on Friday, April 30 with kickoff at 7 p.m. Single-game tickets can be purchased through www.ticketmaster.com.
