
Blaze Wide Receiver Joins NFL Practice Squad

SALT LAKE CITY - After appearing in three preseason matchups with the Tennessee Titans, Blaze WR Michael Preston (6-4, 205, Heidelberg University) has been signed to the team's practice squad. Preston will fill one of eight available spots on the squad.
Preston appeared in three games with the Blaze and recorded 28 receptions for 332 yard and five touchdowns. Preston led the receiving corp with 12 catches for 110 yards in the Blaze's victory over the Cleveland Gladiators in their final game of the season.
In his final campaign at Heidelberg University, he led the team with 76 receptions for 1,213 receiving yards. He started all 10 games and led the team with 15 touchdown passes. Preston was named to the AFCA All-American Team as a senior, the first time a student-athlete was honored with the award in the school's history.
Preston was placed on the Other League Exempt List by the Blaze who will retain his AFL rights.
