Philadelphia Soul News Release
PHILADELPHIA (September 6, 2011) - After less than three weeks from the official launch date of the Philly Football Rocks "FUN-RAISING" Initiative for Youth Football and Non-Profit Organizations, the Philadelphia Soul have signed up 25 partners and expect to have 100 by the end of September from others who have expressed extreme interest.
Organizations that sign up for the program will receive: up to 55 percent of the revenue generated from ticket sales to Soul games, an autographed Fender electric guitar signed by Michael Vick or a prominent member from The Roots (depending on the program selected); an autographed over-sized print from 1980 Super Bowl of Ron Jaworski; an autographed football and jersey signed by Jaworski and a Soul player or coach. A limited number of packages are available.
"The response we have received since launching the program has been tremendous," said Soul COO/VP John Adams. "Organizations have been able to see the value that this program brings by partnering with the Soul. It's a win-win for all parties involved by allowing the groups to raise funds for their cause as well as getting a chance to experience a Soul game."
With a goal of 300 partners signed up before the start of the season and each organization expecting to raise $5,000 on average, this equates to $1.5 million in "FUN-RAISING" Revenue in total to be earned from this initiative for organizations spanning all throughout the Delaware Valley, Lehigh Valley and beyond.
As part of the program, the Philadelphia Soul will focus on a different non-profit Nationwide Initiatives each month throughout the year. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the Soul plan to reach out to all hospitals, organizations, and supporters relevant to the cause with the goal of partnering with 12-15 organizations who can make a difference. The program calls for organizations to raise funds through ticket sales and the auctioning of the guitars, footballs, jerseys, life-size action photos of Ron Jaworski, and VIP Club Box Seats for Childhood Cancer.
Organizations signed up so far include: Gift of Life Family House, ChiChester Crusaders Youth Football, Wildwood Youth Football, CW Sports Flag Football League, Signature Dance Studio, Jeff's Jedi in a Fight Against ALS, Summit Park Apartments Running Group, SE Delco District Musical, I9 Sports - Chester County, Wny Not Prosper, Autism Speaks, Contact Helplines, Adoptions from the Heart, Habitat for Humanity Camden, Destolfo's Premier Martial Arts, Moss Athletic Association, Quakertown Team X, North Penn Flag Football, and Miss North America Essence USA 2011-2012 to benefit Osteosarcoma Cancer Awareness.
The Philadelphia Soul is currently looking for more partners to join in the mission to raise $1.5 million. Youth Football Organizations should contact Chris Thompson, Manager, Football Programs & Experiences, at 215-253-4900, ext. 176 or cthompson@philadelphiasoul.com and Non-Profit Organizations should contact Bob Capewell, Manager, Group Sales, at 215-253-4900, ext. 176 or bcapewell@philadelphiasoul.com.
