Utah Blaze News Release
SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Blaze are pleased to announce the signing of DB Rod Mosley (5-11, 185, Texas A&M-Kingsville). Mosley will add strength to the Blaze secondary as they prepare to face the Georgia Force this Friday, May 6th at The Arena at Gwinnett Center. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. (MT).
"Mosley is an experienced arena football player," said Defensive Coordinator Jeff Hoffman. "His skills and experience will be an asset to our secondary and I look forward to seeing his full-potential in a game."
Mosley joins the Blaze after spending the 2010 season with the ArenaBowl XXIII Champion Spokane Shock. He notched 6.0 total tackles, one interception (returned for a touchdown) and four pass breakups in just two games before being injured, cutting his season short. In 2011, he played in two games with the Shock, tallying 5.5 total tackles.
Before entering the AFL, Mosley played collegiately at Texas A&M-Kingsville where he lead the team in interceptions (nine) and tackles (71) as a junior and senior.
