
Blaze Homestand Concludes; Car Giveaway Saturday

The Bloomington Blaze, presented by Mid-Illini Credit Union, conclude a season-opening homestand this Friday and Saturday, which include the largest giveaway ever featured at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
The Blaze (1-1-1) take on two squads that have not lost in regulation. The Blaze host the Evansville IceMen on Friday at 7:05 p.m. in their first meeting of the regular season. The IceMen are 1-0-1 and are led by veteran Todd Robinson with six assists, and by Josh Beaulieu with two goals and two assists.
The Rapid City Rush (3-0-1) come in on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. with two of the Central Hockey League's scoring leaders. Jesse Schultz has registered one goal and six assists for seven points, and Les Reaney has scored twice with two helpers for six points.
The Blaze are led by captain Jason Dale, who has one goal and five assists for a team-leading six points. Doug Krantz is the CHL's leading scorer on defense with one goal and four assists for five points. The Blaze hold the league's best power play percentage with 40 percent (4-for-10).
Fans who buy one reserved seat ticket for Friday's game will receive another reserved seat free on Penny Pincher Date Night, and with the purchase of any combo meal on Friday, another combo meal of equal or lesser value is free.
On Saturday, one fan will drive away in a brand new car in the Extreme Motors Great Car Giveway. A 2012 Hyundai Accent worth $17,000 from Extreme Motors will be awarded. Fans may add up to five chances to win by bringing a canned food item or other non-perishable food item for the Clare House Food Pantry. For each food item donated, an additional entry (limit five) will be put into the drawing for the car.
