Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that defenseman Mark White has agreed to terms with the Everblades for the 2004-05 season. The second year defenseman played in 15 regular season games with Florida after he was acquired late last season. White also saw action in 13 playoff games and registered 2 assists while helping the Blades claim the 2004 Eastern Conference Championship.

The Woburn, MA native is the second player signed by Florida for the upcoming 2004-05 campaign. "Mark was a steady presence on the blue line for us during our late season playoff push. In his fourth professional season, we look for Mark to continue his consistency and for his game to mature even more," stated head coach Gerry Fleming. Prior to his professional career, White played four years of collegiate hockey at the University of New Hampshire. He was also voted the most outstanding defenseman during the 2002-03 campaign in the now defunct ACHL while leading the Orlando Seals to the ACHL championship.
