This Saskatoon Blades will play their 4th game in 5 nights looking to build off a 1-0 shutout victory over the Prince Albert Raiders on Sunday. It's game 2 of a 3-game home stand for the Blades and game 3 of a 4-game season series with the Edmonton Oil Kings. The series is tied 1-1; both previous games have been played in Edmonton. This is the first stop of a back-to-back mid-week road trip for the Oil Kings who are in Prince Albert tomorrow night.
The last game...
Tristen Robins (5) scored the lone goal on Sunday in a 1-0 shutout win over PA. Nolan Kneen had the only assist and Nolan Maier recorded his 2nd shutout of the season with a 32 save performance.
The Oil Kings haven't played since Saturday at home when they beat Kamloops 3-2 in OT. Trey Fix-Wolansky (21) scored the OT winner, Dylan Myskiw made 23 saves in goal for the win.
Head to Head...
The season series is tied 1-1, both games were played at Rogers Arena in Edmonton. Gary Haden and Eric Florchuk each turned in 2-goal performances in separate games... Kirby Dach and Dawson Davidson each have 1G-2A against Edmonton this season. Trey Fix-Wolansky (3G-2A) leads Edmonton's offense in the season series.
Saskatoon has won their last 2 games while the Oil Kings are 2-0-1-0 on their last 3. Edmonton brings in the 6th best power play in the league to go against the Blades 5th best penalty kill.
